CWA Activism: Proposition 128

Description

The items in this collection document the CWA's efforts to prevent Proposition 128 from becoming law. Proposition 128, or "Big Green" was introduced to the California ballot in 1990. This law would change laws governing pesticides and food safety, air pollution emissions, ect. It would require regulation of pesticide use to protect food and agricultural worker safety and phase out use on food of pesticides known to cause cancer or reproductive harm, chemicals that potentially deplete the ozone layer. The proposition was ultimately defeated.
